The brief
Following on from Gulp’s successful Research by Design rebrand, our next adventure was to redesign and develop the website to provide continuity with the new collateral. The site needed to enforce the new branding, state clearly and quickly what the business does and confirm their industry status by celebrating the prestigious names they work with.
We also needed to retain as much SEO traction from the old site as possible when switching to the new one, the News section needed three post-types and a Client Testimonials section was a must.

The Solution
A brand-strong site utilising the bright green as intended was designed, approved and then developed. The confident accent colour contrasting perfectly with the more corporate dark blue.
A concise eight word description placed front and centre on the landing page and a direct link to who RbD work with, directly below that, sitting over a brand reinforcing looping video – ticked all the boxes.
Then if the ‘who we work with’ button was missed, the very next section shows a sample of RbD’s impressive clients in logo form.
Before & After
Everyone loves a before and after comparison… don’t they?
Before (shown on the left of the image) it was all clip-art and clunk. Now it has movement, energy and is truly representative of the business and its capabilities.
Timeline
Yes, yes, but how long have you been doing this? Well faced with this question Research by Design can now simply point users to a tastefully animated timeline showing the high-lights of their journey to date.
Testimonials
For this client, testimonials have real influence. This called for something more than just a page of text.
Using the recently established brand guidelines colour palette, Gulp Creative designed graphics to really elevate these impressive words and their associated logos.
