DSR Global is a growing business. Their existing logo, whilst clean and simple, was just a typeface. A brand refresh was required to give them a logo they could truly own, to help celebrate their 20 year anniversary and to reflect their expanding and ever more competent reach.

The Solution

Using the letters DSR in this abstract way Gulp created not only a maze-like graphic but also the suggestion of a finger print. These are symbolic of the personal touch DSR give every client and how they help them to navigate through the maze that is job opportunities or candidates.

Bespoke lettering was then designed and illustrated based around the style of the brand-mark to form the characters for the company name.

Once the logo was agreed, Gulp Creative set about developing branding for the business to ensure that however DSR appear there is a strong look-and-feel that will, over time become associated with the brand.

The graphics represent movement, change and flow. They consist of scalable shapes derived from the brandmark, they are then elongated as required to create balance and a sense of progression.

A set of guidelines were also developed and example use-case projects created and included to ensure consistency for the brand.

Brand guidelines are a fantastic investment for any business. They provide the rules to allow collateral to be created with design consistency every time, whether that’s digital advertising, exhibition stands, printed items or video.

Colour Palette

DSR’s old logo used a bright blue, this was considered a little ‘weak’ in discussions. A darker more corporate blue was proposed to help provide a stronger, more professional image.

Whilst professionalism is essential, a sense of the company’s energy was also something we felt strongly about. This then would be reflected with an accent colour. A bright green was discussed and agreed along with a tertiary set of brighter colours to contrast with the spectrum of blues.
